The Sheret part of my family was from Johnshaven in Kincardine. James Sheret was probably from the Kincardine area and was in the parish of Fordoun when he married Elspeth Burness.
I have been able to find eleven children for the couple and one of them was my 3x Great grandfather John Sheret. John tragically drowned in a summer storm at Catterline while fishing and was only 40 years of age.
Margaret Sheret was one of seven children and married Edwin Duncan in 1862. However, not long after giving birth to the couples fourth child she died of fever in 1868 aged only 28.
