There are two main problems with researching the Wilkie surname in Kirriemuir. Firstly some of the Kirriemuir records were lost in a fire and secondly the Wilkie surname is very common there.
Therefore I do not have a record of when James Wilkie and Janet Dargie were married. Their son also James Wilkie married Mary Hird in Newtyle on the 25th of August 1810.
