The Torrie's were from the South Kincardine area. Little is known of James Tory and Helen Edward and it appears that both died at a relatively young age.
Elizabeth Torrie was married to James Mather and at some point James either left her or died as he is not on any census with her. Elizabeth then had two children to James Duncan in Johnshaven. Elizabeth died in Johnshaven in 1866 aged 64.
