The surname Ramsay is very common in the Carnoustie area. However, the Ramsay name seems to appear more in Westhaven than it does in Easthaven.
My great x3 grandmother Isobel Ramsay lived to the ripe old age of 92 and details of her parentage were found on her death certificate. However, it is difficult to get any further back because of the large amount of Ramsay's in the parish of Panbride in those times.
