I suspect that the surname Mill was like so many surnames in olden times written down how it sounded and it is probably the surname Milne as we know today. Margaret Mill married John Herd on the 18th of October 1789 in the parish of Panbride.
Due to the fact that I am not sure where she was born I have been unable to establish her parentage and she lived in the pre-census era. However, there were Margaret Mill's born in the Panbride area at the right time.
