This is the ploughman branch of my maternal grandmother's tree. George Duncan who was a ploughman married Jane Watt on the 16th of September 1789 in Auchmithie. Duncan is not considered a fisher name while Watt is so it is likely that Jane was the daughter of a fishing couple but George was listed as a ploughman on his daughter's death certificate.
Grey Duncan, sometimes written wrongly as Grace, married John Shepherd on the 8th of October 1819 and lived all her life in Auchmithie.
